This vintage panoramic Long Island map is a giclee reproduction of a Travellers Map of Long Island, Published by G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co. in 1866 in New York City. It is classified as a Tourist Map and shows counties, roads, railroads, boat lines in and around Long Island, and distances from New York City. The detail is amazing and our workflow provides excellent resolution at all sizes.
Relief is shown by hachures, it is oriented with north to the upper right, and has a ornate decorative border. It also covers Long Island Sound, most of New York City, and portions of eastern New Jersey, and the southern coast of Connecticut.
NOTE: There is some color irregularity in the upper left corner (to the right of the map nameplate) which could have been water marks at some point in history. I have chosen not to remove this as it adds to the vintage nature of the piece.

Due to the antique nature of this map, it is offered in what is considered not your everyday sizes. Please take this into consideration when making your purchase. It will most likely require custom matting and framing work once you receive your print from our shop. I can also produce this print in just about any size you would like, just send me a quick message with the size you would like and I'll get back to you quickly.
We also offer this print as a gallery wrapped canvas in the three sizes you see in the drop down box where you place your order--larger sizes are also available by special request.. These prints are stretched onto our high-quality 1 1/2" deep basswood frames and are ready to hang when they arrive on your doorstep.
BORDERS
Our rolled and flat prints are carefully positioned with an approximate 1/8 inch border on all sides for matting and framing adjustments, although this may vary slightly based on the size of print you order and the size of the original image. If you would like a different size border, or need to know the exact border size, or a borderless print, just let me know when you place your order.
Our gallery wrapped canvas prints have a mirrored edge border which is a repetition of the last 1 1/2" of the image so that it wraps around the sides of the frame. We can also use any other colors you would like for the sides if you don't want the mirrored edge treatment.
SHIPPING INFO
I ship worldwide in one business day after receiving your payment. Your prints are protected with Glassine wrapping and shipped in a rigid "Do Not Bend" mailer to ensure it arrives in the same condition as when it was shipped, and for larger sizes, we ship in a sturdy cardboard tube. Your print will arrive safely, or I will replace it.
